Planning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to join our PMO team, supporting multidisciplinary architectural and engineering consultancy projects from concept design through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project programmes using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, including baseline schedules, WBS, milestones and progress measurement systems.
• Coordinate programme activities across architecture, structural, MEP, infrastructure, landscape, BIM and other specialist disciplines, monitoring design deliverables, client decisions and authority approvals.
• Track actual progress, prepare weekly updates, look‑ahead schedules and monthly reports, and manage critical path, float and programme variance.
• Forecast resource requirements, identify conflicts, support recovery planning and assess the impact of scope changes, delays and design revisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• 8‑10 years of professional experience in planning and scheduling within architectural, engineering or construction environments, preferably in the GCC.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design‑stage planning, BIM workflows and contractor programme reviews.

Required skills

• Advanced Primavera P6 proficiency.
• Strong Microsoft Project and Excel capabilities.
• Solid understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) and schedule‑risk analysis.
• Experience with resource and staff‑hour forecasting.
• Familiarity with Power BI or equivalent dashboard tools and Earned Value Management (EVM).
