Project Director

About the role

We are seeking a strategic and results‑oriented Project Director to lead major projects from planning through execution and delivery. The role requires strong leadership, governance, and stakeholder management to ensure projects meet time, budget, and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring and delivery of major projects aligned with organisational objectives.
• Establish project strategies, timelines, budgets, milestones and performance targets.
• Oversee project managers and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective coordination.
• Monitor progress, costs, schedules, quality and performance against approved plans.
• Identify risks and resource constraints, implementing mitigation strategies.
• Manage relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Provide strategic updates to senior management on status, risks and performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, contracts, quality standards and company policies.
• Lead project review meetings, resolve escalated issues and facilitate decision‑making.
• Optimize resource allocation, processes and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management or related field.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management and governance.
• Excellent leadership and team‑management capabilities, overseeing multiple project teams.
• Financial and commercial awareness, including cost control and contract management.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, results‑driven mindset with commitment to quality, safety and operational excellence.

Required skills

• Familiarity with project management methodologies and reporting tools.
• Experience using project management software.
