Project Engineer – 3D Construction Printing

About the role

Ab'aad 3D is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of its pioneering 3D construction printing projects in Bahrain. This full‑time, on‑site position offers the chance to work with cutting‑edge automation equipment and contribute to landmark sustainable structures.

Key responsibilities

• Review designs and technical drawings to ensure feasibility for 3D printing.
• Prepare detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Monitor site activities, supervise installation and operation of 3D printing equipment, and conduct regular inspections.
• Coordinate with design, operations, suppliers, and external partners to keep projects on budget and on schedule.
• Document progress, generate reports, and maintain accurate project records.
• Identify technical issues on site and propose practical solutions.
• Support continuous improvement by suggesting process optimisations and helping develop standards for 3D construction projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or construction engineering.
• Strong foundation in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
• Familiarity with construction methods, site safety practices, and local building codes.
• Comfort with advanced construction technologies; 3D printing experience is a plus.
• Ability to work full‑time on site in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
