Project Manager - Marine

About the role

The Construction Project Manager – Marine is responsible for planning, managing and delivering marine construction projects safely, on time and within budget. The role oversees all phases of execution, from procurement and resource planning to construction activities, stakeholder coordination and project close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring and completion of marine projects in line with contractual, technical and commercial requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, resource plans and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Coordinate marine works such as quay walls, jetties, breakwaters, dredging, reclamation, marine piling and offshore civil works.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, company standards, local regulations and international best practices.
• Manage project risks, implement mitigation strategies and resolve technical or operational issues.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and subcontractors.
• Oversee procurement, ensuring timely availability of materials, equipment, vessels and subcontractor resources.
• Administer contracts, evaluate variations, manage claims and support commercial negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in marine construction environments.
• At least 5 years delivering ports, harbours, marine piling, dredging, reclamation or offshore civil works.
• Experience with contract administration and claims management.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent are an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera P6 for planning and controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project for scheduling.
