Purchasing Officer – Manama, Bahrain

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Purchasing Officer to join our team in Manama. The role involves sourcing reliable suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products to support our operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source reliable local and international suppliers.
• Request, compare, and evaluate quotations to secure competitive pricing.
• Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms with vendors.
• Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor orders and coordinate with suppliers to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate purchases to avoid shortages or overstock.
• Assist with inventory management and stock control activities.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and procurement documentation.
• Track market trends and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply‑chain operations.
• Hospitality industry experience is a strong advantage.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proven capability to source suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
• Good understanding of inventory management and purchasing procedures.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
