Receptionist – Beauty Salon, Bahrain

About the role

Dessange is looking for a friendly and efficient female Receptionist to be the welcoming face of its salon in Bahrain. As the first point of contact for clients, you will manage front-desk operations, keep appointments running smoothly, handle inquiries and deliver a warm, professional welcome. The role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, has excellent communication skills and wants to contribute to a positive client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet arriving customers warmly, give information about services and offer facility tours.
• Answer phones, handle inquiries, transfer calls or take messages.
• Schedule, confirm and reschedule appointments, including follow-up reminder calls.
• Identify client needs (e.g. skin and hair issues) and direct guests to the right hair/nail expert or therapist.
• Collect payments, tender change and record cash flow in the register; prepare daily cash reports and count cash at the end of each shift.
• Handle light admin work such as mail, filing, data entry and document preparation.
• Keep reception areas tidy, collect feedback and help resolve complaints.
• Notify staff of cancellations or unscheduled visitors and assist with other tasks assigned by the Salon Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a receptionist, administrator or customer service agent, preferably in a spa, salon, gym or hospitality setting.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure.
• Friendly, professional and customer-focused, able to handle cash accurately.
