Retail Project Manager

About the role

The Retail Project Manager will lead and oversee custom joinery and retail installation projects for a reputable interiors company. The role requires a self‑driven leader with 5‑8 years of experience in joinery manufacturing and hospitality or entertainment fit‑out projects. Strong communication in English and the ability to manage multiple projects from award to handover are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Organise project kick‑off meetings with internal departments, fit‑out teams and general contractors to align scope, timeline and expectations.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys and photography, identify loading zones and relay critical dimensions to the Setting Out Manager.
• Provide hands‑on technical expertise for setting out joinery equipment and resolve client or contractor technical queries throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain project schedules using MS Project, generate daily/weekly progress reports with photos, and ensure milestones are met.
• Coordinate daily communication between fit‑out teams, factory personnel and clients, escalating discrepancies for rapid resolution.
• Travel across the MENA region and adapt to flexible working hours, including weekends, as required by site plans.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years experience in joinery manufacturing companies, managing hospitality or entertainment projects.
• Proficient verbal and written English with strong customer‑service orientation.
• Hands‑on knowledge of fabrication procedures and a wide range of joinery materials (timber, veneers, laminates, hardware, glass, stone, lighting, etc.).
• High sense of responsibility, excellent planning, time‑management and decision‑making abilities.
• Strong organisational, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills; able to work independently and within a team.
• Flexible, self‑driven and motivated to achieve goals without external prompting.
