Retail Project Manager

About the role

The Retail Project Manager will lead and manage custom joinery and retail installation projects for the interiors industry, overseeing projects from award through to handover. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to coordinate internal and external stakeholders across the MENA region.

Key responsibilities

• Organise project kick‑off meetings with internal departments and fit‑out teams, aligning scope, timeline and expectations.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys and photography, identifying loading zones and critical dimensions.
• Perform on‑site setting out/marking of joinery equipment and address technical queries from clients or contractors.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project, generating daily/weekly progress reports with photos.
• Coordinate daily communication between fit‑out teams, factory personnel and clients, escalating discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor installation processes, reporting adjustments needed to equipment for future fit‑outs.
• Travel to MENA region sites and adapt to flexible working hours, including weekends as required.

Required profile

• 5–8 years experience in joinery manufacturing, managing hospitality or entertainment projects.
• Self‑driven leader with high responsibility, strong planning and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Team player capable of identifying strengths and weaknesses and driving improvements.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Word.
• Project scheduling using MS Project.
