Rust Engineer - Trading Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Rust Engineer to join Keyrock’s Capital Markets division. The role focuses on building and operating low‑latency, mission‑critical trading systems that support our market‑making, options, high‑frequency and DeFi trading desks. The position is fully remote and open to candidates located in European time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise low‑latency trading infrastructure using Rust.
• Own end‑to‑end components of the trading stack, from architecture through production operation.
• Collaborate with quant researchers, traders and other engineers to improve performance and resilience.
• Maintain and evolve infrastructure with emphasis on stability, observability and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues related to exchange connectivity, order execution and market‑data handling.
• Drive engineering standards through code reviews, technical leadership and mentoring.
• Apply AI‑assisted workflows and automation to streamline operational tasks.
• Contribute to functional, component and production‑readiness testing for critical systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, building and operating mission‑critical trading systems.
• Strong expertise in Rust programming language.
• Solid knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, globally distributed team.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for high‑pressure production environments.
