Senior Account Executive

About the role

We are seeking a highly detail‑oriented Senior Account Executive to join our Finance team. The role drives daily financial operations, ensuring precise ledger maintenance and compliance with VAT and regulatory reporting. You will act as the primary operational liaison for auditors and collaborate with cross‑functional technical teams in a fast‑evolving digital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate daily bookkeeping entries in line with accounting standards and banking regulations.
• Perform high‑volume reconciliations of digital bank accounts and internal suspense accounts.
• Support month‑end closing by preparing journal entries, accruals, and pre‑payments.
• Prepare, verify, and submit timely VAT returns to meet local tax authority requirements.
• Monitor evolving tax laws affecting digital financial services and implement necessary system updates.
• Manage auditor PBC schedules, provide supporting documentation, and resolve audit queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
• 4–6 years of hands‑on accounting experience, preferably in FinTech, digital banking or financial services.
• Deep understanding of VAT regulations and upcoming tax laws in Bahrain.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, digital environment where processes scale quickly.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Index/Match).
• Experience with Oracle E‑Business Suite or similar enterprise financial software.
