Senior Defense Travel Support Manager (DTS Expert)

About the Position

Join Sayres in Manama, Bahrain, to provide critical financial and administrative support to the Commander Naval Surface Squadron Five (CNSS-5). As a key player in maritime defense operations, you will ensure the seamless movement and budgetary compliance of personnel supporting 10 patrol boats and 4 mine countermeasures ships.

Main Missions

• Serve as the Lead Administrator for the Defense Travel System (DTS) and manage the travel budget.
• Execute complex budgetary and administrative actions, including monitoring and reconciling budget data.
• Provide expert help-desk support, resolving intricate travel issues and ensuring database accuracy.
• Manage travel authorizations, access levels, and debt tracking via the DTS Debt Management Gateway.
• Process DD-1131 collection vouchers and initiate payroll recoveries.
• Coordinate closely with the Chief Staff Officer, Administrative Officer, and Carlson Travel Office for seamless reservations.
• Audit, validate, and prepare travel authorizations and vouchers while ensuring reimbursement accuracy.
• Provide expert guidance on travel regulations and compile comprehensive data for reporting.

Profile Required

• Must possess a verifiable Secret Security Clearance in DISS.
• Proven experience in defense travel management or military financial administration.
• Exceptional attention to detail regarding budgetary reconciliation and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication skills for liaison with high-level military officers and external travel offices.
• Ability to work in a high-stakes, mission-critical environment in Bahrain.
