Senior Planning Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

Nass Contracting is looking for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to lead planning, scheduling and program controls across major construction and engineering projects. The role will deliver robust planning solutions, Earned Value Management, cash‑flow forecasting and risk‑based scheduling to support successful project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, including baseline programs, updates, recovery schedules and look‑ahead plans.
• Implement and monitor Earned Value Management (EVM) and integrated cash‑flow forecasting.
• Establish and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), coding standards and planning procedures.
• Conduct schedule analysis, critical‑path reviews, delay analysis, Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and support Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and provide early warnings on schedule, resource and cash‑flow variances.
• Coordinate with commercial, finance, procurement, engineering, construction and risk teams to align scope, schedule and cost.
• Integrate subcontractor and vendor schedules into the overall program and prepare management dashboards and performance reports.
• Mentor planning team members and promote best practices and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 5‑10 years of planning and scheduling experience in construction or engineering projects.
• Minimum 3 years in a senior planning role.
• Proven expertise in Primavera P6, CPM scheduling and project controls.
• Strong experience with Earned Value Management, resource‑loaded schedules and cash‑flow forecasting.
