Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Our Client, a fast‑growing procurement and technology company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and development of its core backend services. You will work closely with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, high‑performance solutions that empower customers to streamline procurement workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design of secure, reliable, and high‑performance backend systems.
• Develop sophisticated APIs, microservices, and backend services for the procure‑to‑pay platform.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
• Integrate third‑party systems, including enterprise ERPs such as Oracle Fusion.
• Optimize database queries and manage MongoDB storage for performance and scalability.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues, implementing upgrades and enhancements.
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system health and reliability.
• Contribute to strategic decisions on backend architecture and technology stack.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience building and scaling complex backend systems.
• Strong hands‑on background as a MEAN Stack developer.
• Deep expertise in designing distributed, microservices‑first architectures.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor team members.
