Setting Out Manager

About the role

The Setting Out Manager will lead the coordination of internal and external clients and the setting‑out team to ensure a smooth manufacturing flow, high quality output and client satisfaction. This senior position oversees project planning, material procurement, shop‑drawing preparation and on‑site surveys, driving continuous improvement in efficiency and cost performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects from site survey through to manufacturing delivery.
• Guide the setting‑out team on material submissions, procurement, shop‑drawing development, prototyping and cutting‑list issuance.
• Review project programmes, schedules and client expectations, ensuring timely approvals and clear communication.
• Oversee material requirements, procurement planning and RFI handling with clients.
• Coordinate with production departments, verify material specifications and manage variations.
• Prepare project status reports and forward‑plan cutting‑list forecasts for the factory.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in joinery.
• Proven track record in setting‑out projects from site survey to final delivery.
• Strong knowledge of joinery materials such as timber, boards, veneers and laminates.
