Shift Supervisor – LNG Terminal Operations

About the role

The Shift Supervisor is responsible to the Operations Manager for the safe and effective operation of the Bahrain LNG Import Terminal. Working on a rotating shift system, the supervisor leads on‑site teams during weekends and out‑of‑hours, ensuring continuous terminal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the terminal in line with contractual obligations, maintaining high availability, reliability and gas quality.
• Manage environmental compliance, control emissions and fulfil reporting requirements.
• Ensure health and safety of all personnel, contractors, customers and visitors.
• Implement and continuously improve the Terminal Quality Management System.
• Coordinate with the Floating Storage Unit master and Cargo Control Room to monitor LNG inventory, schedule send‑outs and plan maintenance.
• Control access to the offshore jetty and regasification platform, escort visitors and enforce security zones.
• Monitor marine traffic, police exclusion zones and prevent unauthorized vessel approaches.
• Supervise berthing, unloading and departure of LNG carriers, conduct safety inspections and act as Loading Master.

Required profile

• Strong background in hydrocarbon processing.
• Supervisory experience operating plants handling high‑pressure gas and cryogenic liquids, preferably LNG.
• Experience in marine terminal operations is preferred.
• Qualified Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) with knowledge of the ISPS Code and Port Facility Security Plan.
• Ability to work rotating on‑shore (3‑shift) and offshore (4‑shift) schedules.
