Sous Chef – Full-time in Bahrain

About the role

The Sous Chef will join Palestinian Zuwadeh Restaurant in Bahrain, supporting the Head Chef in delivering authentic Palestinian and Middle Eastern dishes. This full‑time, on‑site position offers the chance to work in a collaborative kitchen that values craftsmanship, consistency and a welcoming atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating and quality control.
• Supervise and organise kitchen stations, ensuring recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards are consistently applied.
• Monitor inventory levels, support ordering and storage, and maintain strict food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and clear communication.
• Coordinate service during peak periods to guarantee timely and accurate order execution.

Required profile

• Strong culinary expertise in both hot and cold kitchen preparation, preferably with experience in Middle Eastern cuisine.
• Proven ability to manage kitchen workflows and maintain high‑quality output under pressure.
• Solid knowledge of food safety regulations and proper ingredient handling.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff with a respectful leadership style.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
