Street Light Works Supervisor

About the role

The Electrician Supervisor oversees and coordinates all electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on project sites. The role ensures work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with drawings, specifications, company standards and relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electricians and electrical technicians on‑site, assigning daily tasks and monitoring productivity.
• Provide technical guidance, on‑the‑job training and performance evaluations.
• Supervise installation of power distribution systems, lighting, cable laying, control panels and related equipment.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is performed efficiently.
• Verify that all installations match project drawings, specifications and applicable electrical standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimise downtime.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and other disciplines to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain daily work reports, inspection records and site documentation.
• Track material consumption and submit material requests as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, distribution panels and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Good leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations; valid driving licence is an advantage.
