VP of Business Development

About the role

We are looking for a commercially focused and strategic Vice President of Business Development to lead growth initiatives, develop strategic relationships, and identify new opportunities that support the organization’s long‑term objectives. The role works closely with senior leadership to shape business development strategies, expand market opportunities, and build sustainable commercial partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development plans, identify potential clients and partners, and manage the commercial development process from opportunity identification through negotiation and execution.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, operations, product, legal and other teams to ensure initiatives align with organizational capabilities and commercial objectives.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key stakeholders, decision‑makers, strategic partners, clients and investors, representing the organization in industry meetings and partnership negotiations.
• Monitor performance of business development activities, track pipeline development, partnership opportunities and revenue potential, and report regularly to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Management or a related discipline (preferred).
• Strong understanding of business development, sales strategy, market expansion, partnerships and commercial growth.
• Proven ability to identify, evaluate and prioritize business opportunities based on market potential and organizational objectives.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication and relationship‑management skills.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities with experience interpreting commercial and market data.
