Accountant

About the role

Alzayani Investments, a diversified investment group based in Manama, Bahrain, is looking for a motivated Accountant to join its finance team. This full‑time position involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare supplier payments and ensure proper supporting documentation.
• Receive customer cheques, issue receipts and assign control numbers.
• Enter supplier invoices and track them in the control book.
• Perform data entry in the accounting system and Fixed Assets Management System.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and petty‑cash vouchers.
• Assist with utility bill payments and VAT return reconciliation.
• Coordinate with internal auditors and external auditors for payment and fixed‑asset verification.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and support team tasks as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 0–2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
