Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accountant to join our investment firm in Manama. This full‑time role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier payments and verify supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with internal auditors for payment verification.
• Receive customer cheques, issue receipts, and assign control numbers.
• Enter invoices, payments, and other data into the accounting system.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and manage petty‑cash vouchers.
• Maintain the Fixed Assets Management System and support fixed‑asset audits.
• Assist with VAT return reconciliation and ensure proper recording.
• Perform other related accounting tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software (unspecified).
