Airport Manager – Abu Dhabi Hub

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking an experienced Airport Manager to lead and coordinate all airport operations at its hub. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, security, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality customer service while driving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee passenger and aircraft handling operations on a shift‑by‑shift basis, adhering to checklists, brand standards, company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in daily operations, including weekend and public‑holiday shifts, to maintain seamless airport performance.
• Manage safety and security outcomes through promotion, hazard identification, risk assessment, monitoring and reporting.
• Coordinate VIP, PRM and special‑category guest requirements, including flight editing and special services.
• Maintain and rehearse emergency response, disruption, diversion and business continuity plans.
• Monitor on‑time performance, manage delays, and provide accurate reporting and follow‑up.
• Drive ancillary sales performance, promotional activities and process compliance.
• Promote, deliver and report on customer‑service standards and related KPIs.
• Act as the Local Security Contact Officer.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education (A‑level or baccalaureate equivalent) or equivalent industry experience.
• 7‑9 years of leadership or senior management experience in aviation or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead multicultural teams in high‑pressure, shift‑based environments.
• Strong communication skills across multiple internal and external channels.
• Previous regional or international exposure is highly advantageous.
