Analyst - Resource Planning & Scheduling

About the role

The Analyst – Resource Planning & Scheduling supports the Project Management Office and delivery teams by managing resource allocation, capacity utilization and project schedules. The role ensures that human resources are distributed efficiently, workloads are planned accurately and schedule data is kept up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using standardized tools, input baseline data, update progress and incorporate approved changes.
• Assist in creating and updating resource demand and capacity plans, track assignments, utilization rates and availability.
• Monitor project progress against baselines, identify delays, critical‑path changes and risks, and produce variance analysis reports.
• Support forecasting of time, cost and resources, prepare “what‑if” scenarios and highlight scheduling conflicts.
• Provide PMs and the PMO with timeline slides, look‑ahead schedules, milestone reviews and maintain project registers.
• Maintain dashboards and periodic reports on resource utilization, schedule adherence and capacity trends.
• Ensure accurate data entry in PMO tools and maintain version histories and approvals.
