Assistant Finance Manager

About the role

The Assistant Finance Manager will support the Finance Manager in overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering accurate reporting. This position plays a key role in month‑end closing, tax compliance, and project cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse monthly balance‑sheet schedules, ensuring no long‑term pending items.
• Prepare quarterly and annual statutory statements and manage tax filings for all business units.
• Assist with external and internal audits, addressing audit findings promptly.
• Test and obtain approval for system reports used in management and financial reporting.
• Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned accounting areas.
• Maintain accounting controls and monitor system reports for accuracy, especially inventory records in AX.
• Coordinate with tax consultants and external auditors.
• Review budgets, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Perform project cost forecasting, tracking, reporting and ensure timely capitalization.
• Manage fixed‑asset accounting, investigate variances and maintain accurate records.
• Support inter‑company cost allocations in line with transfer‑pricing policies.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable and project accounting functions.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in financial and management accounting.
• Background in an entertainment or retail store environment.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory filing, tax compliance and audit processes.
• Proven ability to manage month‑end close and financial reporting.
• Experience with inventory management and fixed‑asset accounting.
