About the role

The Asian School is seeking an Assistant Principal to support the school principal in leading and managing the school's programs and operations. This full‑time position plays a key role in fostering a collaborative, results‑oriented learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the principal in developing and maintaining an effective educational program aligned with state, federal, and board policies.
• Interpret and enforce school and division policies, and support the transformation of school culture.
• Help design, implement, and refine the school’s Continuous Improvement Plan.
• Ensure implementation of the Board‑approved curriculum and monitor compliance with testing and special‑education mandates.
• Plan and deliver professional development for teachers and staff.
• Act as principal in the principal’s absence.
• Propose class and extracurricular schedules, and assist with course, student, and teacher assignments.
• Collaborate with department heads on annual budget requests.
• Manage procurement, inventories, and records for supplies, textbooks, and equipment.
• Coordinate transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services, including safety inspections and drills.
• Monitor student attendance and discipline, addressing special cases as needed.
• Engage with parents, faculty, and student groups to advance educational activities.
• Maintain various files and prepare periodic reports.
• Identify student special‑needs and coordinate with specialists.
• Supervise assigned teachers and departments, and communicate curriculum goals to stakeholders.
