Associate Director – Wealth & Retail Banking

About the role

Standard Chartered Bank is seeking an Associate Director to lead strategic sales and relationship initiatives within its Wealth & Retail Banking division. The role focuses on acquiring new affluent and emerging affluent clients, driving revenue growth, and ensuring high standards of customer service across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for revenue generation and business development, aligning with the Digital Agenda.
• Generate new business to meet targets for customer numbers, volumes, revenue, product mix, and liability goals.
• Onboard new-to-bank (NTB) customers sourced by branches and direct sales teams.
• Create and manage sales call plans to acquire large prospective customers through referrals.
• Maintain accurate Sales MIS, tracking calls, prospects, attrition, and business outcomes.
• Deliver professional customer service, handle complaints, and achieve high customer satisfaction and retention.
• Lead by example, fostering a culture of compliance, risk awareness, and ethical conduct.
• Ensure KYC/AML documentation is up‑to‑date and detect suspicious transactions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sales and Relationship Manager in banking or investment products.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a financial services environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with risk, control, and compliance partners.
