Bid Manager

About the role

The Bid Manager will lead the estimation and tender processes for our joinery manufacturing division, ensuring competitive pricing and high win‑rate performance. Reporting to the department head, the role combines client liaison, internal coordination and continuous improvement of bid strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all estimation‑related activities, interpreting tender documents, drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and review bills of quantities, material take‑offs and cost estimates to meet submission deadlines.
• Supervise and schedule the estimating team, including post‑tender hand‑over and commercial support.
• Maintain and expand the supplier database, pre‑qualifying new vendors.
• Support cost‑control initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies for document retention.
• Coordinate with setting‑out and production departments to guarantee successful project execution.
• Regularly review and update estimating policies, procedures and the bid calendar.

Required profile

• University degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or equivalent.
• 10–15 years of experience in estimation within large‑scale joinery manufacturing.
• Proven senior leadership in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a multinational market and manage commercial and contractual risks.
