Chief Risk Officer

About the role

GFX Securities is seeking a Chief Risk Officer to design, implement, and oversee its enterprise risk management framework. The role serves as the primary safeguard for market, credit, and operational exposures, ensuring compliance with Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce comprehensive risk policies aligned with CBB guidelines.
• Monitor daily market volatility, liquidity risks, and counter‑party exposures.
• Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis for the brokerage’s portfolios.
• Act as the main liaison with the CBB for risk‑related audits and inquiries.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Professional risk certification (FRM, PRM, or CFA preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of dedicated risk management experience in a brokerage or banking environment.
• Expert‑level knowledge of the CBB Rulebook and international risk management standards.
