Electrical Engineer – Interior Fit‑Out & MEP Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the planning, execution, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems on interior fit‑out and MEP construction projects. The role involves close coordination with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all electrical installation activities for fit‑out projects, reviewing drawings, specifications, BOQs and shop drawings.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical and interior fit‑out teams and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
• Oversee installation of lighting, small power, distribution boards, cable containment, earthing, lightning protection, emergency lighting, ELV and low‑current systems.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks and ensure workmanship follows approved shop drawings.
• Plan and execute testing and commissioning, prepare reports and support final handover to clients and consultants.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, contractors and suppliers to resolve technical issues and attend coordination meetings.
• Prepare material take‑offs, monitor consumption, assist with variation orders and track project budgets.
• Enforce HSE policies, conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks and maintain project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5‑10 years of electrical engineering experience, including at least 3 years on commercial or retail fit‑out projects.
• Preferably experienced in Gulf markets.
