Electrical Engineer – Interior Fit‑Out & MEP Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the planning, execution, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems on interior fit‑out and MEP construction projects. The role involves close coordination with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and on‑site teams to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all electrical installation activities for fit‑out projects, reviewing drawings, specifications, BOQs and shop drawings.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical and interior fit‑out teams, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
• Monitor project progress, conduct site inspections, enforce quality standards and manage schedule adherence.
• Lead testing and commissioning, prepare reports and support final handover to clients and consultants.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors and suppliers to resolve technical issues and attend coordination meetings.
• Prepare material take‑offs, track consumption, assist with variation orders and maintain cost control.
• Ensure health, safety and quality compliance through risk assessments, toolbox talks and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of electrical engineering experience, including at least 3 years on commercial or retail fit‑out projects.
• Preferably Gulf region experience.

Required skills

• Electrical distribution, LV and ELV systems.
• Lighting, power, fire alarm, earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Low‑current systems such as CCTV, access control and structured cabling.
• Testing and commissioning procedures, local authority regulations.
• AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Excel.
• Revit (preferred), Primavera P6 (preferred), ERP systems.
