Electrical Technician – EV Charging & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join an automotive client in Bahrain. The role focuses on the installation, testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of electrical systems and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, ensuring safety and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, distribution boards, circuit breakers, lighting, sockets, switches and power outlets.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical assets.
• Install, commission, test and maintain EV charging stations, including cabling, protective devices, isolators and distribution systems.
• Conduct site inspections, prepare infrastructure for EV charger installations and resolve equipment faults.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and clients, and produce installation, commissioning and maintenance reports.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and support facility improvement and energy‑efficiency projects.

Required profile

• Valid EWA Electrical Technician License (mandatory).
• Diploma, ITI or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance, preferably in commercial buildings or facilities management.
• Hands‑on experience with EV charger installation, testing, commissioning or maintenance is an advantage.
• Strong time‑management and organisational abilities.
