Fund Accountant – Private Equity Fund Administration

About the role

The Fund Accountant will support a portfolio of private equity and other closed‑ended funds, ensuring accurate net asset valuation, timely capital calls and distributions, and full regulatory compliance. You will act as a key liaison between clients, fund directors and internal teams, delivering high‑quality fund administration services.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate Net Asset Valuation (NAV) files for multiple private equity funds.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements and ensure compliance with governing and regulatory procedures.
• Calculate and process fund capital calls and distributions.
• Assist in audit preparation and execution for assigned relationships.
• Conduct investor onboarding, including AML/KYC document review.
• Coordinate with staff to meet client deliverables and maintain consistency and accuracy of assigned relationships.
• Submit regulatory filings on behalf of clients.
• Interact regularly with clients, fund directors and other relevant parties.
• Support management with MIS reporting.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably within private equity or other closed‑ended funds.
• Professional degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
• Strong ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.

Required skills

• Understanding of private equity fund structures and close‑ended fund administration.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to fund administration.
