GIS & Database Administrator – AWS Cloud & ArcGIS Enterprise

About the role

RMSI is seeking a GIS & Database Administrator to manage and optimise its enterprise geospatial platforms on AWS. The role combines ArcGIS Enterprise administration with cloud infrastructure and database management to ensure reliable, high‑performance GIS services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and administer ArcGIS Enterprise components (ArcGIS Server, Portal, Data Store).
• Deploy and maintain GIS infrastructure on AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM and VPC.
• Manage enterprise geodatabases in PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server and Oracle.
• Monitor performance, availability and security of GIS services and cloud resources.
• Troubleshoot issues across GIS servers, AWS infrastructure and databases.
• Implement backup, disaster‑recovery and security policies.
• Publish and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online services.
• Support GIS developers and analysts and maintain documentation.
• Continuously optimise GIS workflows and infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, IT, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience with GIS, ArcGIS Enterprise and cloud environments.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• ESRI GIS Certification preferred.
