Information Security Systems Engineer

About the role

VAM Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Information Security Systems Engineer to join its Bahrain operations. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing security solutions that protect critical infrastructure and ensure compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define protection objectives aligned with the organization’s strategic plan and the Information and Government Authority.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify gaps, and implement missing controls.
• Lead ethical penetration testing and oversee remediation activities.
• Prepare and supervise security programs, policy frameworks, and compliance with ISO 27001 and other standards.
• Communicate security requirements and incidents to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• CCNA Security certification.
• One or more of the following: CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH.
• Preferred audit certifications: CISA, COBIT 5.
• Fluent in English (spoken, written, read); Arabic is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and business audiences.

Required skills

• Network security design and implementation.

• Incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• ISO 27001, ISO 27002, and related compliance frameworks.
• Microsoft Office suite for reporting and presentations.
