About the role
The Inventory Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper valuation, and supporting the organization’s financial integrity. Working closely with warehouse and operations teams, this role contributes to month‑end and year‑end closings and prepares the company for audits.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and reconcile inventory and stock records regularly.
- Track stock movements, inventory valuation, and product costing.
- Prepare detailed inventory reports, stock analysis, and financial summaries.
- Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Identify discrepancies and support timely corrective actions.
- Assist with monthly and year‑end closing processes and audit preparation.
- Maintain comprehensive inventory documentation and accounting records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory or stock accounting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently under pressure.
- Strong analytical abilities and exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data reporting.
