IT Infrastructure & Security Specialist

About the role

The IT Infrastructure & Security Specialist will be responsible for supporting, securing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, networks, cloud services and cybersecurity applications. Working closely with the IT Infrastructure & Technology Manager, internal teams, SOC/CISO functions and external service providers, the role ensures reliable operations, effective security controls and timely issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and install network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs.
• Manage the physical and logical layout of LAN and WAN environments.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure optimal operation.
• Perform regular maintenance, system upgrades and patch management for hardware and software.
• Conduct capacity planning to support future growth.
• Maintain IP telephony and voice communication systems across departments.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for network and infrastructure incidents.
• Support design, implementation and management of on‑premises servers, storage, networks and cloud services.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewall rules, access controls and security policies.
• Monitor for security threats, identify vulnerabilities and respond to incidents in coordination with SOC and CISO teams.
• Configure and manage firewalls, switches and routers to ensure security and efficiency.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross‑functional teams to address infrastructure needs.
• Assist in planning and executing infrastructure upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of configurations, processes and procedures.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments, patching, secure configuration, access reviews and remediation evidence.
• Support identity, endpoint, email, network and cloud security controls such as MFA, privileged access, EDR/antivirus, logging and infrastructure hardening.

Required profile

• Experience working with IT Infrastructure & Technology managers and cross‑functional teams.
• Proven ability to provide Tier 2/3 troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Strong collaboration skills with vendors and external service providers.
• Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and following best practices.
• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry trends and security standards.
