Junior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our finance team at ERA Projects in Manama. The role supports daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and timely processing of transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting entries and maintain up‑to‑date financial records.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments and related documents.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Manage petty‑cash records and monitor company expenses.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and documentation.
• Participate in month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain organized filing of financial and accounting documents.
• Assist with VAT documentation and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers, clients and internal departments on accounting matters.
• Identify and report discrepancies in financial records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with AP, AR, invoicing and bank reconciliation.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Previous experience in Bahrain is an advantage.
• Available to join immediately or on short notice.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software.
