Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Westin Bahrain City Centre is seeking a reliable Laundry Attendant to operate and monitor all laundry and dry‑cleaning equipment, ensuring high‑quality linen and garment service for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Operate washing, drying and dry‑cleaning machines, add chemicals and clean lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide on repair, rewash, spot‑treatment or discard.
• Inspect cleaned articles, place them in linen carts, and fold them by hand or using a folding machine.
• Set dryer times and temperatures according to fabric type and maintain accurate laundry records.
• Perform routine cleaning of dryer screens, filters and drain traps after each load.
• Follow all company safety, security and quality‑assurance policies; report hazards or equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance and respect confidentiality of company information.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull items up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Comfort standing, walking or sitting for an entire shift.
• Capability to reach overhead, bend, twist, stoop and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Willingness to move on uneven, slippery surfaces and navigate stairs or ramps.
• Commitment to teamwork, dignity and respect for co‑workers.
