Mathematics Teacher

About the role

The International School of Choueifat is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join its teaching team in 6 October, Egypt. The role involves delivering the SABIS® curriculum, supporting student achievement, and contributing to a vibrant school community.

Key responsibilities

• Teach mathematics classes using provided lesson plans or develop plans based on SABIS® pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Discuss student disciplinary and academic concerns with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department as needed.
• Implement the SABIS® Point System to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Proctor examinations, ensuring proper test conditions.
• Provide support and motivation to low‑performing students to help them reach their potential.
• Assist with external exam preparation and structured revision schedules.
• Perform additional duties such as substituting for absent teachers, organizing student logistics, and handling administrative tasks.
• Participate in student life activities and events in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Proficient command of English.
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience.
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership.
• Professional behavior and ethical conduct.
