Mortgage Manager (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mortgage Manager to lead our mortgage lending operations and drive growth while ensuring regulatory compliance and exceptional customer service. This remote position reports to senior leadership and works closely with cross‑functional teams across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute mortgage lending strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage end‑to‑end mortgage processes, from origination and underwriting to closing and servicing coordination.
• Lead and develop mortgage advisors, loan officers, underwriters, and operations staff.
• Ensure compliance with lending regulations, internal credit policies, and risk‑management standards.
• Review complex mortgage applications and approve recommendations within delegated authority.
• Monitor portfolio performance, delinquency trends, loan quality and profitability.
• Collaborate with credit risk, legal, compliance, finance, operations and customer‑service teams.
• Build relationships with customers, brokers, developers, real‑estate agencies and financial partners.
• Analyse market trends, interest‑rate movements and competitive products.
• Drive process improvements, digital mortgage initiatives and operational‑efficiency programs.
• Prepare executive reports, performance dashboards and strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of experience in mortgage lending, retail banking, loan operations, underwriting or credit management.
• Proven track record managing mortgage portfolios, lending operations and customer relationships.
• Strong understanding of mortgage products, credit assessment, underwriting principles and lending regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience with banking systems and financial‑technology platforms.
