Project Manager – Core Banking & SAMA API Development

About the role

The client, a leading bank in Bahrain, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery of Core Banking initiatives, with a focus on SAMA report dataset development and API publishing. The role will ensure projects align with regulatory requirements, digital transformation goals, and the bank’s overall strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SAMA Report Dataset Development and API Publishing initiatives.
• Drive Core Banking enhancements for 2024, improving efficiency and compliance.
• Manage implementation of fraud risk management systems and customer risk assessment methodology (CRAM).
• Oversee cross‑currency enhancements, payment automation, and integration of SAMA API for data collection.
• Resolve interest accrual and conversion issues, and implement automation of risk assessment processes.
• Deliver solutions for home construction finance, workplace banking, notional pooling, and collateral management.
• Provide post‑implementation support to ensure system stability and performance.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in Core Banking systems and digital transformation projects.
• Proven experience with regulatory compliance projects, preferably SAMA or equivalent.
• Hands‑on experience in fraud risk management and customer risk assessment.
• Ability to manage complex API integrations and payment automation.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
