QS Draftsman – AutoCAD 2D Specialist for Glass & Aluminium Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced QS Draftsman to produce accurate AutoCAD 2D drawings for our glass and aluminium projects and to support quantity measurement and project coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD 2D drawings for glass, aluminium, shopfronts, facades, partitions, doors, windows and cladding.
• Create shop, fabrication and installation drawings based on site measurements and project requirements.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, site sketches and client specifications.
• Prepare material take‑offs and quantity calculations for glass, aluminium and related accessories.
• Support the QS function with measurement, estimation and basic costing.
• Coordinate with project teams, site staff, clients and suppliers as needed.
• Revise drawings in response to client comments, site changes or project updates.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, practical and suitable for fabrication and installation.
• Work independently, manage multiple drawing tasks and maintain organized records of revisions and documents.

Required profile

• Previous experience preparing AutoCAD 2D drawings.
• Experience in glass, aluminium, shopfront, façade, partition or fit‑out works is strongly preferred.
• Ability to produce accurate shop and technical drawings independently.
• Quantity surveying experience is a plus but not mandatory if willing to handle QS tasks.
• Good understanding of site measurements, fabrication details and installation requirements.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Reliable, detail‑oriented and able to meet deadlines.
• Driving licence preferred but not required.
