Reservations Agent

About the role

The Reservations Agent is the first point of contact for guests seeking accommodation at The Ritz‑Carlton Bahrain. You will manage inbound reservation requests, provide accurate information, and ensure a seamless booking experience that reflects the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue and input accurate data into the reservation system.
• Enter special room types and rates (complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel‑agent rates, wholesale reservations) using the correct codes.
• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax or mail.
• Identify guest needs, verify room availability and rates, and explain guarantee, special rate and cancellation policies.
• Accommodate and document special requests, answer questions about property facilities and services, and welcome guests according to company standards.
• Escalate guest concerns following proper procedures and maintain professional telephone etiquette.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and comply with quality‑assurance standards.
• Handle physical tasks such as moving items up to 10 lb and uphold confidentiality and security of guest and company information.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull or place objects up to 10 lb.
