Retail Project Manager

About the role

The Retail Project Manager will lead the planning and execution of custom joinery and retail fit‑out projects for Havelock One. You will be responsible for taking projects from award through to handover, coordinating internal teams, fit‑out contractors and clients while ensuring quality, safety and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Organise project kick‑off meetings with internal departments and appointed fit‑out teams.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys, photography and identify loading zones and critical dimensions.
• Perform on‑site setting out and marking of joinery equipment when required.
• Address technical queries from clients or general contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project schedules (preferably using MS Project) and monitor progress.
• Generate daily/weekly progress reports with photos and submit to senior management.
• Coordinate daily communication between fit‑out teams, factory personnel and client representatives.
• Observe installations and recommend adjustments to equipment for future projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in joinery manufacturing or interior fit‑out projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
• Natural leader who can motivate teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Detail‑oriented with a high sense of responsibility and self‑confidence.
