Sales Manager

About the role

LocalLocal, a QR‑based payments platform serving the hospitality sector across the GCC, is seeking a Country Head for its Bahrain market. Reporting to the Founder & COO, you will own both sales and operations, driving merchant acquisition, managing the on‑ground team and ensuring market performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Bahrain sales pipeline and achieve weekly merchant acquisition and location targets.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with merchants, manage take‑rate discussions and respond to competitor pressure.
• Develop and execute competitive market strategy, monitoring pricing, onboarding incentives and poaching attempts.
• Design and deliver sales training, manage SDR/AE performance, and set targets.
• Oversee onboarding turnaround, first‑30‑day capture rate, and merchant support SLAs, including after‑hours coverage.
• Manage merchant incentive programmes, hardware procurement and stock for QR stands and tablets.
• Recruit, coach and lead the Bahrain team of sales development reps, account executives and operations staff.
• Report market performance, risks and blockers to the Founder/COO with clear action owners.

Required profile

• Proven experience running a full commercial market (sales + operations) for a startup or scale‑up, preferably in payments, fintech or a merchant‑facing platform.
• Track record of meeting merchant acquisition and revenue targets while maintaining service quality and support SLAs.
• Comfortable managing a small mixed team of sales and operations professionals.
