School Nurse

About the role

The International School of Choueifat in Cairo is looking for a qualified School Nurse to ensure the health and safety of students and staff, implement first‑aid procedures, and maintain a proactive health environment within the school.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, implement and document a comprehensive school health and hygiene program.
• Design and deliver personal hygiene education to raise awareness among students.
• Develop and run periodic health inspections to reduce illness and epidemic risks.
• Maintain up‑to‑date health records for all students and monitor health‑related absences.
• Inform parents/guardians of any health or injury incidents involving their children.
• Ensure the school clinic is fully equipped to manage minor injuries and moderate illnesses.
• Standardize clinic processes to guarantee consistent, high‑quality healthcare services.
• Provide accurate health reports to management as required.
• Advise management on preventive health and safety measures.
• Verify cafeteria staff health clearances and hygiene standards per Ministry regulations.
• Develop and display health and safety tips for students and staff.
• Facilitate communication between parents and the school regarding special medical needs.
• Participate in school meetings and perform other delegated tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Proficient in English.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership.
• Professional behavior and ethical conduct.
