Senior Auditor – External Audit

About the role

Grant Thornton is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to lead external audit engagements in Bahrain. You will be responsible for managing the full audit lifecycle while delivering high‑quality service to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage external audit engagements, from planning through to completion.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing proactive service and addressing concerns.
• Review and analyse financial statements and audit reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and communicate potential risks or issues to the audit team and clients.
• Train and mentor junior staff, supporting their professional development.
• Stay current with industry trends and changes in accounting and auditing standards.
• Participate in business development activities, including networking and proposal writing.
• Assist with ad‑hoc projects and tasks assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• CA, ACCA or a related professional qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in audit and assurance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
