Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Propel Consult is recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor for a leading investment bank in Bahrain. The successful candidate will join the internal audit team, supporting the execution of the annual audit plan and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the audit plan and schedule.
• Execute audits according to the approved plan and charter, meeting all deadlines.
• Gain deep understanding of business processes, risks, and controls to produce credible audit findings.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience in banking, investment banking, or a professional audit firm serving these sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) regulations or comparable frameworks.
• Degree in Accounting, Commerce or related field.
• Professional certification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, MBA; CIA is desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Familiarity with core banking platforms, e.g., Temenos T24.
• Experience with fund‑management and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of audit working‑paper software (IDEAL, Teammate) is a plus.
