Senior Specialist – Portfolio Modelling & Optimization

About the role

The Senior Specialist – Portfolio Modelling & Optimization will support the development and optimisation of Bapco Energies' project‑oriented portfolio. You will conduct deep financial and operational analyses to ensure the portfolio balances risk and reward while aligning with long‑term strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dynamic portfolio models that incorporate discretionary and non‑discretionary investments.
• Collect and structure cross‑functional data—including financial figures, project status, and market trends—for modelling and scenario planning.
• Perform sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of market fluctuations on the portfolio.
• Prepare investment endorsement documentation for the Group Management Committee, ensuring alignment with strategy and capital allocation priorities.
• Ensure all submissions comply with modelling frameworks and requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate portfolio management, strategic planning, or investment analysis.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail while maintaining a strategic mindset.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of portfolio management theory, financial modelling, and risk management frameworks.
• Proficiency with portfolio management software and financial modelling tools such as Excel, SAP, and Oracle.
• Experience with data visualization platforms.
