Senior Teaching Fellow: Computer Science/Software Engineering

About the role

The University of Strathclyde, Bahrain is seeking a Senior Teaching Fellow to lead the design and delivery of its BSc (Hons) Computer Science and BSc (Hons) Software Engineering programmes. You will develop course materials, teach modules, and mentor junior academic staff.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and continuously improve curriculum for Computer Science and Software Engineering programmes.
• Deliver lectures, labs and tutorials both in‑person and online.
• Create assessment materials and provide feedback to students.
• Guide and support junior colleagues in teaching and research activities.
• Collaborate with the Department of Computer & Information Sciences on research and innovation initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of computer science and software engineering principles.
• Proven experience teaching programming, theoretical CS, computer architecture, databases, networks, cyber security, and web/mobile development.
• Ability to design course content and assess student performance.
• Experience mentoring junior academic staff.
