Setting out Manager

About the role

The Setting out Manager will coordinate internal and external clients and lead the Setting out team to ensure smooth project manufacturing flow, client satisfaction, and balanced quality and cost performance. The role supports divisional performance, efficiency improvements, and continuous process optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee assigned projects, reviewing details, material submissions, procurement, shop drawings, prototyping and manufacturing delivery.
• Control project programmes, schedules and client expectations, ensuring timely approval of shop drawings and cutting lists.
• Lead coordination with production departments, oversee material requirements, procurement planning and clearance of variations.
• Identify and manage RFIs, source hardware accessories, and optimise procurement processes.
• Coordinate site surveys, setting‑out plans for fast‑track projects, and interpret contractual obligations.
• Prepare project status reports and forward‑plan schedules for cutting‑list issuance.

Required profile

• Minimum ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in joinery setting out from site survey to loading lines.
• Proven ability to manage a team of 15‑20 members and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Strong technical and execution capabilities, with experience solving issues related to glass, acrylic, stone, metal and fabric integration.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills in a multinational setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk products.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
• In‑depth knowledge of joinery materials such as timber, boards, veneers, laminates and hardware.
• Familiarity with FSC, LEED and fire‑resistance (FR) standards.
